The plain version
OGTV puts two strangers into a private video call, and starting costs nothing. This policy covers what information the service handles when you read a public page, join a match, or keep a guest session going. Public pages — this one, the FAQ, the blog — require no account and gather nothing personal about you.
Camera and microphone
Random video chat runs on your camera and microphone, and both are granted — and revoked — through your browser, not through us. The camera starts only after you allow it, and every call is a closed two-person room: no audience, no public streams, nothing broadcasting you anywhere. Nothing is installed on your device.
The technical data behind a match
Running a live matching service requires ordinary technical data: device and browser basics, server logs with IP addresses and timestamps, and aggregate page-usage patterns. A guest session stores what keeps it working — your remaining free matches and any coin balance. Coin purchases go through external payment processors, so full card numbers never reach our servers; the terms of service describe the same split.
Cookies, briefly
Cookies keep your session alive through a match, remember small preferences, and tell us anonymously which pages people read. Some are strictly necessary — without them, matching simply cannot run. The full list, including how to refuse or clear them, sits in the cookie policy.
Reports and moderation
When you tap report or block, session context can attach to a moderation review so the team can act on abuse. That loop is what removes repeat offenders from the matching queue. The rules being enforced are written in the community guidelines.
What stays with you
Camera on or off, stay or skip, keep a session or clear it — the call is always yours to end and the tab is always yours to close. You can ask us to correct or delete session data through the contact page. Personal information is never sold. Full stop.
